Research Abstract

種数2のレフシェツ・ファイバー束を記述するためのグラフィクス(チャート表示法)を用いて、安定化に関する定理の見直しを行い、安定化に必要なファイバー束の数の評価を得た。
4次元ユークリッド空間に埋め込まれた向き付け不可能な閉曲面あるいは向き付け可能であるが向きが与えられていない閉曲面に対してもカンドルに「良い対合」を付加することで、基本カンドルやカンドルホモロジー、カンドルコサイクル不変量などの概念を得ることができる。「良い対合」を伴ったカンドルを対称カンドルと定義し、対称カンドルの随伴群の普遍性など、対称カンドルに関する基本的な性質を導いた。向き付け可能な曲面の結び目に対しては、その基本カンドルに付随した「随伴群」が、結び目群に同型となることが以前から知られており、曲面が向き付け不可能な場合には曲面結び目群が対称カンドルの随伴群となることが昨年度に分かっていたが、その理由を明確に述べることが可能となった。対称カンドルのカンドルコサイクル不変量を用いた向き付け不可能な曲面結び目(曲面絡み目)の最小3重点数の評価式を構成した。佐藤進氏により与えられていた最小3重点数の評価を拡張するような曲面絡み目の例が存在する。
9月にフランスのパリ第7大学で開催されたブレイド理論の国際会議に出席し、モノドロミーに関する研究成果を発表した。河内明夫(連携研究者)、金信泰造(連携研究者)の協力のもとで10月に国内外の研究者を集めた研究集会を大阪市立大学で開催し、研究集会の報告集を作成した。
