Research Abstract |
This research consists of three subjects. The first one is to understand some projects in the densely built-up areas for the reformation. The first study is about the cases of improving the densely built-up areas located in the cities belonging to national sloping city liaison council. Moreover, we analyzed two examples realized in the mixture of housing and commercial area in the case of Shinkaichi and Suidosuji District, Kobe City, focusing on the business income and the expenditure in the process of joint housing project. The second one is to discuss the problems in the densely built-up areas for improvement of living environment from the different points of view: urban planning, civil engineering, law, economy. The third one is to investigate the concrete problems in the densely built-up areas in Kobe City. By fieldwork we found that the number of empty lots and houses was increasing after the Hanshin-Awaji Great Earthquake. By questionnaire and workshop, residents in this area don't find the good ways of using empty lots and houses in the neighborhood. We pointed out that the necessity of the unique system of using empty lots and houses. And we simulated the rebuilding houses in some lots by some ways in the case of Komagabayashi District
