Research Abstract

本研究では, クロロフィルdを有する唯一のシアノバクテリアAcaryochloris spp.が, 海藻などへの付着生物, あるいは浮遊生物として世界中の海洋沿岸に広範に分布すること, 2種程度に分けることのできる遺伝的多様性をもつこと、地理的な遺伝的分化がみられないことなどを明らかにした。さらに、海洋沿岸環境ではクロロフィルdの量が,クロロフィルaの量に対して平均1%前後存在し一次生産に一定の寄与をしていることを明らかにした。
