Research Abstract

本研究は、ラン科において生活形と栄養摂取様式の多様化が起こった原因と過程を明らかにすることを目的とした。まずラン科の共通祖先で、菌根菌の種類が変化したことが明確に示された。さらに生活形や栄養摂取様式の変化に伴い、菌根菌の種類が変化したことを解明した。これらのことから、共生菌パートナーのシフトが、ラン科の生活形と栄養摂取様式の多様化、ひいてはラン科の著しい種多様性の要因となっている可能性の高いことを明らかにした。
