Research Abstract

転移因子(トランスポゾン)ベクターを利用したトランスジェニック(遺伝子組換え)技術が確立されている、ハチ目、チョウ目、コウチュウ目およびハエ目の昆虫を用い、キイロショウジョウバエのようなモデル生物でない一般の昆虫種(非モデル昆虫)に応用できる遺伝子解析システムの開発を行なった。テトラサイクリン耐性オペロンを利用した遺伝子発現制御システム(Tet-Off系)とトランスポゾン挿入を利用したエンハンサートラップ法について、種を越えて適用できる可能性を見出した。
