Research Abstract

癌関連網膜症の患者血清が認識する網膜特異抗原として単離されたPTBLP遺伝子を中心として神経細胞特異的RNA結合タンパク遺伝子が網膜神経細胞の発生分化過程においてどのような役割を担っているのかを解明するために、PTBLP遺伝子を欠失したマウスを用いて以下の研究を実施した。PTBLP(-/-)マウスは誕生後24時間以内に死亡するため、PTBLP(+/-)マウス同士を交配させ、E16~18の胎仔を用い網膜器官培養を行い、網膜の発生分化が(-/-)では同腹の(+/+)や(+/-)に比べ未熟であることから、TBLP遺伝子が網膜の発生分化に関与していることが明らかとなった。
