Research Abstract

本研究では、主として、カンボジアのアンコール遺跡および同時代にクメール人によって建造されたタイおよびラオスのクメール遺跡の石材に加えて、インドネシアの中部ジャワ遺跡の石材に関する岩石学的調査を行なった。
アンコール遺跡に関しては、灰色~黄褐色砂岩の帯磁率を基に石切り場の変遷や遺跡の建造時期・順序の推定が行なえるようになった。中部ジャワ遺跡に関しては石材の特徴の時代変化を明らかにするとともに石材供給地を明らかにすることができた。
