Research Abstract

原子のサイズよりは大きく、一様な物質と見なせるサイズよりは小さな、中間のサイズのナノワイヤーの非一様な伝導現象に関する理論的研究を行った.特に、コアシェル型ナノワイヤーの電気伝導に関する研究では、コアとシェルの部分を構成する物質のエネルギーバンドとは全く異なる、ほとんど分散をもたないバンドが存在する場合があり、それが電気伝導に大きな影響を及ぼす可能性があることが理論的に予測された. また、半導体へテロ接合ナノワイヤーの電気伝導に関する研究では、時間反転的な現象が見られ、これにより、パルス的な波の減衰を抑えることが可能であることが理論的に示された.
