Research Abstract

身体儀礼としての坐法、手勢および立礼の見地から神像の形態を検証した。その結果儀礼としての坐法を示すものは初期神像に見られるが、平安時代中期以降は見られなくなく傾向にあった。女神像に特徴的な坐法とされてきた片膝立ての坐法が男神像にも見られた。手勢については僧形神像における手勢は2種類に分類できる可能性が認められた。立像神像については立礼の形態を示すもの以外の例も認められた。
