Research Abstract

日本のジャズ文化を「日本的」という民族性、「ジャズ喫茶」という空間、「ジャズ文学」という文学概念、「シンフォニック・ジャズ」というサブ・ジャンルなどから明らかにした。とりわけ戦前に焦点をあてて、モダン文化の中心的なメタファーとしてのジャズの重要性を強調し、文化的翻訳の概念を再検討した。
