| Research Abstract |
This study which ran in both year of 2005 and 2006, contains of making of a complete catalog of the picture work which ukiyo-e artist Katsukawa Shunsho did for his late period, and also a classification/rearranging of paintings by Shunsho based on four kinds of his seals.
At first, I planned to collect basic document of works in both year, and carried out an investigation trip in domestically each place around Kansai. As a result, several new works appeared with rediscovery of another works unconfirmed conventionally only with a photograph document luckily. And I confirmed eight works by an on-the-spot survey, then carried out data collection such as photograph documents. In a series of processes, the digital devices I newly purchased showed a very high effect. I was able to update and complete a total list of precision data of Shunsho works, which I held as preparations article conventionally.

media by publication of the oeuvre image I planned in advance, I decided to perform it some other time, after having solved a problem of a copyright.
Secondly, on the basis of these result, I made a historical investigation study based on the seals which was another research theme. A historical investigation about a seal was not added in a conventional study at all, but a premise of this consideration was set on schedule, by doing data provided by a process of the above-mentioned list making with materials.
A classification was arranged for the use situation of four seals based on various data for Shunsho works, and added consideration about each use time. But, in addition, I dug it down about an implication of a seal sentence of each seal. For example, every seal used by Shunsho was able to identify almost 1.4 centimeters square. Finally, I can accomplish two studies based on such investigation, that I planned at first in this study approximately on schedule as above, and I think that the significant fundamental study concerning Katsukawa Shunsho progressed very much. Less
