| Research Abstract |
The aim of these studies is to clarify the process of the important texts of Paul Valery, Regard sur le monde actuel, published in 1932. During the fiscal year of 2005, we transcribed almost all the manuscripts conserved in the Department of Occidental Manuscripts of National Library of France (Bibliotheque Nationale de France), situated in Pairs. In the fiscal year of 2006 we completed the transcription of these manuscripts into print. On the basis of this transcription, we presented, in our research report, some important parts of the manuscripts (consisting of folios) corresponding to the published text: the part of the beginning of the conference in Zurich, done in the mouth of November 1922, and our research on the earlier text of Valery, La conquete allemande, and at last, the translation into Japanese of two conferences done by eminent professors of French Universities at Tohoku University. We are sure that these documents of primary sources will contribute to the more persuasive comprehension of the phase of Paul Valery.
