Research Abstract |
A rapid development of Internet/Web environment of late years has big influences on the education of the universities. It seems that the lifelong learning will advance in earnest, in this century, and one will be able to learn "anywhere anytime" when he wants to learn. In late years a CALL system attracts attention as a system to train practical operative ability of a foreign language, and CALL classrooms are introduced at many universities. However, ideal environment of the lifelong learning in order to learn "anywhere anytime" when he wants to learn is not realized as far as CALL systems are fixed and shut up in the classrooms of universities. Various learning contents will be able to go to learners by connecting a CALL system to the WebOCM system. It is a very important point. At first, in this research, we made original learning contents of second foreign languages (French, German and Spanish). One part of these learning contents is put in a CD as appendix of this research report. Subsequently we uploaded these learning contents on the WebOCM system. Therefore students can access theses contents "anywhere anytime" even outside of the classroom. As a result, we got result such as improvement of learning will and grade of students. Such a practice and result in this research have important technical and ideal significance to push forward the lifelong learning and e-learning.
