| Research Abstract |
近世の朝廷と幕府および藩の三者が、朝廷の儀礼をめぐって取り結んだ関係を通して、近世の朝廷・幕府・藩の関係を解明することを研究課題とし、天皇の即位、死去、結婚、疱瘡などの儀礼を素材として検討し、幕府は、大名に家格に応じて儀式への参加を指揮し、大名は、家格に応じて金銭を献じ、江戸城に登城し、あるいは京都に使者を派遣して祝意や弔意を表したが、大名の独自な行動ではなく幕府の統制下で行われたことが明らかになった。
