Research Abstract

The aim of research is to find out the competitive advantage of the entertainment soft industry in global market.
This project (2005-2007) focused on the interdependent system of the entertainment soft industry. We tried to analyze Japanese manga business and Japanese show business. The outcome of this project is following two changes.
First is extension of business range and ripple-effect because of diversification of media. Internet-progress brought extension of business range and ripple-effect because of diversification of media. Internet-progress brought extension of business range and ripple-effect using PC and mobile phone. Then the cycle of operations has been accelerated and a number of related companies increased. The influence wielded business to business, and interdependence of business to business has been complicated.
Second is the approach for control on copyrights. Internet-progress brought market expand, on the other hand it brought high-risk of illegal copy.
Following above, we have sophisticated framework on interdependent system adding to variable on complication and risk dispersal. We try to analyze other entertainment business using this framework, and find out the competitive advantage of the entertainment soft industry in global market.
