This research is the Fundamental Construction of the New Training System for Technology Education Teachers with immediate impact and advanced teaching ability.
Our objects are following three items :
(1) Making the Acquirement Standard for Technology Teacher Training
(2) Construction of the Examination System by using its Standard
(3) Trial of learning product competition by college students
In 2005, The Basic Acquirement Standard for Technology Teacher Training was constructed following three Elements, namely, (1)Understand (Knowledge) (2)Capable (Skill) (3)Teaching (Teaching Technique) by examination and analysis of the Textbook of junior high school of Technology and Home Economics.
The Acquirement Standards for Technology Teacher Training were prepared for each item. In 2006, Many Questions of teacher employment test of the technology education in all parts of the Country were collected through the nine Chapter of Japanese Society of Technology Education, and classified and analyzed.
As the result, there are close correlation between the Acquirement Standard and the Questions of teacher employment.
We visited the Competitive Event of TECA (Technology Education Collegiate Association) for university students held at Baltimore, Maryland, USA in 2006, and researched the practice method and evaluation method etc of the Competitive Event for the purpose of bear on the Examination System.
We presented those results of our research in the 49^<th> Annual Conference of Japanese Society of Technology Education.
In addition, we translated the contest handbook of TECA (Technology Education Collegiate Association).
We tried examining students of two teachers colleges on knowledge, skill and teaching technique, so we had a good prospect.
