| Research Abstract |
海洋系のような非平衡開放系において、系のもつエントロピー生成率が平衡系における熱力学的ポテンシャルと同等の働きをすることを、海洋大循環モデルを用いた数値実験とその理論的考察から明らかにした。また、雪崩等の粉粒体流動の先端の波状パターンの形成メカニズムは、エントロピー生成率最大の仮説と整合的であることを、微粒子を用いた室内実験とその結果の理論的考察にから明らかにした。
