Research Abstract

核融合発電のために、できるだけ多くのプラズマを磁場で閉じ込めようとする場合に、その圧力によって不安定になる場合がある。そこで、圧力が上昇していく過程での圧力駆動型不安定性の振舞いを詳細に調べる非線型数値シミュレーション手法を開発した。そして、線型不安定な状態であっても、大きな閉じ込め損失が生じないように、プラズマ自身が圧力分布を変形していく可能性があることを示した。また、圧力駆動型不安定性による自発的流れを精度よく取り扱う指針も確立した。
