Research Abstract |
Systematic studies were made on the species in Telephium clade belonging to the genera Sedum, Hylotelephium, Orostachys, Meterostachys, Sinocrassula, Rhodiola and others. The species belonging to Orostachys section Schoenlandia consists of a single clade, and which involve in a large clade with the species of Sinocrassula not the remaining species of Orostachys [i.e., those in sections Orostachys and Appendiculata]. The species of section Schoenlandia, which are characterized haplostamony and basally connate petals, are distinctly separated from the other species of Orostachys, are reasonably classified into a separate genus named Kungia. Several papers are now under preparation. As a side work the species of Sedum of the Flora of North America region were critically studied and revised the taxonomy. The results will be appeared in the Crassulaceae in the Flora of North America.
