Research Abstract

円口類ヌタウナギの生体防御に関わる分子群について調べ、補体系レクチン経路で働くと予想されるセリンプロテアーゼMASP-1とMASP-3が存在すること、及びそれらの遺伝子構造がナメクジウオやヒトと同じであることを明らかにした。次に抗原認識分子として複数の候補分子を見出し、その何れもがホヤとヤツメウナギで見出された抗原認識分子の中間の性質を持つことを示唆する結果を得た。このことは、進化上ヤツメウナギよりも早い時期にヌタウナギが分岐したことを示唆するものである。
