| Research Abstract |
開発途上国ラオスの主要疾患は、インフルエンザ、赤痢、デング出血熱などの感染症が主で、生活習慣病はまだ上位ではない。しかし本研究により首都近郊では潜在的に糖尿病、高血圧等の生活習慣病が予想外に蔓延していることが明らかになった。急激に流入する外国資本や文化、生活様式の影響により、感染症と生活習慣病の2重のリスクに曝されているラオス国民の生活習慣病の増加の原因は、単に生活様式の変化だけではなく、遺伝子を含めた内在因子に関係している可能性が示唆され、今後の調査継続が重要と考えられた。
