Research Abstract |
In the past study we reported next results on the male students of generative function. We first carried out a set of questionnaire survey to the male students of Tottori University. Then for 73 students who agreed to offer their semen, we conducted sperm and blood tests to obtain the data of the relationships between the generative function and the everyday exercise habit, life style. The results showed that the average sperm number of 119 x 10^6 /ml in our test did not show any sign of sperm decrement comparing to 50 years ago and it is significantly above the lowest criterion of 20 x 10^6 ml given by the WHO. In the present study we first picked out the male 75 students of Tottori University. We conducted sperm and blood tests to obtain the date of the relationships between generative function and the physical strength (VO_2 Max and muscular power). In the present test the results showed that the average sperm number of 120 x 10^6 /ml did not show any sign of sperm decrement, the average volume of semen of 3.33 ml was also slightly over the past measurement of 2.93 ml, but the sperm motion ratio of 42.6% was also lower 13.5% comparing to 10 years ago. There observed significant correlation between VO_2 max and free-testosterone (p< 0.01), between the average sperm number and the sperm motion ratio (p < 0.01). There was no significant correlation between the others.
