Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to establish an intra-oral X-ray examination which is safe and useful for the handicapped person who cannot hold CCD sensor themselves. An X-ray equipment which have two arms and have monitor camera was developed in order to reduce the dose of dentist or the person of assistance. A newly designed arm which hold the CCD sensor was attached to the conventional arm of X-ray equipment. A monitor camera was set up on X-ray equipment to avoid error of examination by unnecessary movement of the patient. Using the X-ray equipment, dentist or the person of assistance did not necessary to hold a sensor, and the dose of X-ray was reduced to background level.
