Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to develop an integrated class based on participatory learning methods. Human rights and self-awareness were focused in the classroom and teachers tried to develop so as students reflect about their daily life. For developing classes, the method of action research was adopted. Teachers who teach in elementary school to high school were gathered and join the research. At the first year of this study, articles regarding action research and classroom analysis were reviewed and the important aspects of classroom research were clarified. At the second year regular meeting for discuss was held and develop a new curriculum fir each teacher. 'Teachers discuss about their daily practices in their class, and find other vision to make their practice more attractive. At the last year the lecture about the education fir sustainable development and the symposium on home economics teachers' empowerment was taken place. A lot of teacher participants joined the forum, they could get many meaningful suggestions through the symposium.
