Research Abstract |
With a focus on environmental education / food education, which are important subjects in regional policy, we conducted this study with the aim of suggesting educational programs that will be standards for environmental / food education. As a result, we prepared programs for food education and energy conservation classes, and conducted these classes widely in the cities of Sasebo, Nagasaki prefecture, Imabari, Ehime prefecture, etc. Also, we clarified through analysis of textbooks and teachers' books that environmental education and food education have hardly been implemented on a level the government requests in the compulsory education period. Supply of subjects related to local governments' policy needs(such as waste sorting, global warming measures, lifestyle-related disease management, etc.), as a curriculum of compulsory education, has enabled : local governments to provide financial and various other means of support for the curriculum and related classes. In addition, it was clarified that schools can now tackle specific issues through administrative support and the class content has been enriched.
