Research Abstract |
We investigated long-term follow-up results of percutaneous catheter intervention (PCI) and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery in 6 institution in Japan. PCI was performed in 35 stenotic lesions in 29 patients in 6 institusion. Mean follow-up periods was 5.8 years. Percutaneous balloon angioplasty (PBA) was performed in 5 patients, stent implantation in 6, percutaneous transluminal coronary rotational ablation (PTCRA) in 22, and a combination of PTCRA with stent implantation in 2. Patency of coronary artery lesion after PCI at 5 years was 77%. CABG surgery was performed 25 lesions in 24 cases. Mean follow-up periods was 6.9 years. The patency of CABG surgery at 5 years was 84%. The PCI and CABG surgery for KD can be accomplished and effective in the long-term.
