Research Abstract

平成19年度は、新たに製作した真空紫外分光器と、同領域の画像計測システムを用いて、各種結晶成長手法で作製した結晶の光励起発光を観測した。測定には、マイクロ引下げ法で作製されたフッ化物結晶(Ce:LiCAF、Nd:LaBaFなど)や、水熱法で作製された大型Zn0結晶を用いた。
1.マイクロ引下げ成長法で作製したフッ化物結晶の光学特性評価
平成18年度に作製した真空紫外分光器を用いて、Nd:LaBaF、Nd:LaFの真空紫外領域における吸収・発光スペクトルを測定したところ、164nmまでの透過性と、175nm付近の広帯域な発光ピークが測定された。これらの測定から、フッ化物結晶が、真空紫外領域シンチレータ及び、波長可変レーザー材料として有望な光学特性をもつことが明らかになった。
2.水熱成長法Zn0大型結晶のEUVシンチレータ特性
銀イオンプラズマ軟X線レーザーを励起源(13.9nm)に用い、同領域におけるシンチレーション特性を測定した。その結果、紫外域波長に依存しない高速な発光特性を示すことが明らかとなり、この結果は、次世代リソグラフィ用シンチレータ材料として適した性質を示している。
昨年度から2年間の研究を通して、本研究課題の目的であった、真空紫外領域の分光器及び画像計測システムの作製を完了した。さらに、これらの実験装置を用いて、真空紫外領域のシンチレータや波長可変レーザーの実現に向けて、新結晶の光学特性評価を行い、上述のような成果を得た。
