常設I露出型可視偏光撮像器による高エネルギー天体現象の研究

Research Abstract

本年度は、本計画の最終年度であることから、観測装置の立ち上げを最重点項目に位置づけた。
1.昨年度中に加工が完了した装直本体および駆動糸を組み上げ、問題なく動くように調整した。
2.各駆動部を計算機から一括して遠隔制御できるシステムを立ち上げた。
3.塞験室にて光学素子を搭載し、設計通り4つの偏光像が検出器に結像することを確認した。
4.開発が完了した完全空乏型CCD検出器を、咋年度までに立ち上けた真空冷却容器に装着し、み出し回路・制御システムを通じて問題なくテータが読めることを確認した。
5.完全空乏型CCDと読み出し回路の特性を評価し、リニアリティ、ダーク、読み出しノイズ、変換効率などが観測に支障ない程度であることを確認した。
6.観測装置をかなた望遠鏡のナスミス焦点へ装着し、駆動部が問題なく動くことを確認した。
以上により、観測開始の直前まで立ち上げることがでぎた。しかし、望遠鏡に装着しだ直後からCCD読み出しめ制御ジズテムに異常が発生し、データを読み出すととができなくなろたため、実験室にて復旧に努めている。2008年3月現在、CCD制御用PC(コンパクトPCIのボードPC)をメーカー工場にて修理中である。観測開始は、CCD読み出しシステムが復旧してからとなる。
一方、観測研究は、代替機(かなた望遠鏡+TRISPEC、すぱる望遠鏡+FOCAS)を用いて行っており、Ib/c型超薪星の後期(>200日後)の分晃観測例を3例がら18例へと飛躍的に増やすことにより、Ib/C型超新星が一般に罪球対称状の爆発を宗ずこと、ガンマ線バーストの母天体であるIc型極超新星では通常のIb/c型より至大きな非球対称性をもつことなどを示した。
なお、本研究に関して、2008年6月に開催予定である国際会議SPIE"Astronomical Instrumentation"こてポスター講演を行う予定である。
