Research Abstract

平成19年度は下記の2つの流れの体系における気泡によるせん断乱流のコントロールの流体力学的普遍性の実験的究明を実施した.まず一つは超音波流速分布計(UVP)により気泡吹き込み周波数を電磁弁により制御し,局所的な乱流速度分布の周波数応答を計測した.流れ場は乱流遷移域レイノルズ数帯の水平矩形チャネル流で,気泡発生周波数は0.5〜5Hzのレンジ,最大ボイド率は25%とした.この結果,壁面近傍の乱流せん断応力は気泡サイズに対して変化率が小さいものの,気泡間距離を変数とする減衰関数に従って変化することが明らかとなった.このことから気泡がその場で即座に乱流変調を誘発しているという従来仮説が棄却され,液体内の乱流時間スケールよりも長い時定数で二相流としての乱流境界層の時空間発展中に抵抗低減が顕在化するという新事実を突き止めた.この原理を応用すれば気泡吹き込み量を最小として気泡クラスタの間欠的発生により抵抗低減ゲインが最大となるような設計が可能である.もう一つの実験は水の電気分解による微小気泡の発生である.これによるチャネル境界層のPIV計測結果から,微小気泡が主流速度よりも格段に遅く,縦渦の移流速度と同程度であることが判明した.この結果から,乱流要素渦より小さな気泡は渦運動に帯同して干渉し,渦運動変調に最大の作用をもたらすことが明らかとなった.すなわち10ミクロン程度の微小気泡がボイド率の100培以上の抵抗低減率を実現する主たる機構が解明された.
