Research Abstract

最終年度は,高能力な日本発のマイクロ・ホール型電気推進システムの創製という目標に対し,(1)推進機のマイクロ化を実現できる高エネルギー効率な冷却システムの開発/生成イオン加速を高効率推力変換可能な加速チャネルの設計/推進機劣化やミッションに最適な磁場形状を与えるシステム開発,(2)高効率推進システムにインテグレートするための各新要素技術の最適統合:安全・安定作動条件下で,エネルギー効率を最大化する,各新要素技術の統合解析,(3)上記新要素技術と最適統合に対する基礎物理による理論的裏付けに関する研究を取り纏め,次の成果を得た。
【新要素技術】新提案の冷却システム装備のホールスラスタシステム性能を解析。磁極付近に特殊な推進剤循環経路を作製,推進剤を加速チャネル内に流入前に本経路を通過させ推進機を冷却/逆に,推進剤加熱,陽極チョークでの推進剤粒子音速増加を行うことで,特別な機器が不要,推進機マイクロ化/性能向上が可能/高次率性を示した。推進機外壁表面が佯を工夫した冷却効果について再検討し,有効性を示した(特許申請,学会発表,論文執筆中)。
【基礎物理】加速チャネル最適形状を解析し,形状と推力/比推力との週を獲得。励起係数・二次電子放出係数を基準に加速/電離領域に適確した材質壁面を選定し,高推力/高比推力の発生を可能とする設計指針を見出した(学会発表,特許申請)。
【インテグレーション】信頼され得る推進機/システムとしてのパッケージングを再検討,マイクロ・ホール型電気推進システムの実現に対して,解析/実験データ,及び開発した新要素技術を基礎に,高パフォーマンスを目指した設計指針を提唱,その実現可能性を検討。
以上の結果に関して,特に力学に関する最も権威ある世界の組織IUTAMの開催するSymposium on Advances in Microfluidics and Nanofluidics"において発表。更に,本研究対象の競合国である米国及び仏国への特許申請を完了。更に,推進機物理について,Book-series"Fluid Mechanics and its Applications"という書籍を共著出版(編集中)。進展内容をプラズマ関連の上位誌に投稿予定。
