Research Abstract

高い羊ネルギーで加速された原子・イオンが材料に入射すると、粒子トラックと呼ばれる飛跡に沿った非常に局所的な範囲内に高エネルギーを付与する。ターゲットとして放射線照射によって架橋反応を引き起こす高分子を選択すると、イオンビームを照射した際に、その飛跡に沿ってイオントラック内で架橋反応を起こしゲル化することによってナノメートルスケールの円柱状のひも(ナノワイヤー)が形成される。本研究では、通常の方法では形成することの不可能な、アスペクト比500を超える超高アスペクトナノワイヤーの形成に成功した。また、ベースとなる高分子材料の化学構造を検討することにより、個々に形成されたナノワイヤーの凝集特性を制御し、1次元ナノ構造体から2次元ナノ構造シートへ成長させることに成功した。
一方で、入射する粒子の飛呈が十分確保できる場合には、異種の高分子から構成される高分子多層膜をターゲットとして、それぞれの層を構成する高分子をベースとしたナノワイヤーの"連結体"を形成できる可能性がある。ここでは溶媒に対する親媒性の大きく異なる高分子を多層化し、"連結型"ナノワイヤーの形成を試みた。高分子多層膜として極性・非極性溶媒に溶解する高分子を交互に積層して多層膜とし、それぞれの部位の親媒性の違いから、選択凝集型ナノ構造体の形成に成功した。
