Research Abstract

明治期以降の日本が西洋文学からうけた「影響」のあり方や特徴を明らかにする試みの一環として、「西洋文学」の象徴ともいえる大作家シェイクスピアの戯曲に焦点を合わせた。ハロルド・ブルームの「影響の不安」を鍵概念としながら、シェイクスピア作品が日本文学や演劇のあり方にどのような力や影響を及ぼしているかを具体的に考察するとともに、大きく歴史的に概観することで、複雑で多元的な「影響のメカニズム」のいくつかの側面を明らかにすることができた。
