Research Abstract

・La_<2-x>Sr_xCuO_4におけるナノスケール相分離のバルクプローブによる検証
高温超伝導体における超伝導の不均質性を検証するために、La_<2-x>Sr_xCuO_4の高品質傾斜Sr組成単結晶を育成し、磁場中冷却下での磁化率の測定を行った。その結果、オーバードープ領域(0.18≦x≦0.28)において、Sr濃度の増加に伴う反磁性磁化率の減少を観測した。これは、超伝導体積分率の減少を意味することから、オーバードープ領域の試料中で超伝導領域と非超伝導領域に相分離している可能性が極めて高いと結論した。一方、アンダードープ領域(0.05≦x≦0.09)において磁化率を測定した結果、Sr濃度の増加に伴う反磁性磁化率の増大を観測した。すなわち、アンダードープ領域においても、試料中で超伝導領域と非超伝導領域に相分離している可能性が高いと結論した。
・La_<2-x>Sr_xCuO_4のオーバードープ領域におけるCuスピンゆらぎと超伝導の相関のミュオンスピン緩和による研究
Cuスピンのゆらぎ(いわゆる電荷とスピンの動的ストライプ相関)と高温超伝導の関連を調べるために、La_<2-x>Sr_xCu_<1-y>Zr_yO_4のオーバードープ領域(0.18≦x≦0.30、y=0.03)においてミュオンスピン緩和(μSR)測定を行った。その結果、超伝導が出現する幅広いホール濃度領域でCuスピンのゆらぎのスローイングダウンを観測した。これは、動的ストライプ相関が高温超伝導が出現するホール濃度領域で存在し、Znによってピン止めされることでスローイングダウンが観測されたと解釈できる。このことから、動的ストライプ相関が高温超伝導の発現に効いている可能性が高いと結論した。
