超高非線形分散フラットホーリーファイバの最適設計とその高速任意波長変換器への応用

Research Abstract

ホーリーファイバ(HF)の特異な性質である,波長分散特性と非線形性の大きな制御性を駆使して,超高非線形分散フラットHFの最適構造の探索を行うことを目的として研究を進めた.具体的には,前年度までに構築したHF最適設計システムの更なる高精度化,高速化を図るとともに,設計結果に基づいて高非線形HFの試作を試みた.また,新構造超高非線形正常分散フラットHFを用いて,パルス幅数ピコ秒のパルス光源から広帯域かつ高品質なSC発生が可能であることを示すとともに,高非線形HFの実用化のため,モードフィールド径の小さい高非線形HFと従来型光ファイバとの低損失な接続を可能とする接続技術に関しても,理論,実験の両方から,最適な接続条件を探索した.さらに,HFは曲げ損失が非常に小さいため,デバイスを小型化できるといった利点があるが,HFの曲げ半径と波長分散特性の関係についても詳細な調査を行うとともに,高非線形分散フラットHFによるSC発生器を用いて,非常に低いパルスピークパワーで動作する全光学的な任意波長変換器の構成の可能性を示した.
