Research Abstract

17年度に研究したフリッケグルコマンナンゲル線量計は照射後,時間経過と伴に鉄イオンの拡散が起こることが問題点であるため,18年度は,抗酸化剤が配合されたポリマー線量計の一つである,メタクリル酸ゲル線量計を作成し,重粒子線照射されたメタクリル酸ゲルのMRI画像を3次元線量分布図に変換し,その精度の検証を試みた.
精製水,硫酸,ゼラチン,アスコルビン酸,硫酸銅・5水和物,ヒドロキノン,5%メタクリル酸を用いてメタクリル酸ゲルを作成した.
アクリル容器に入れたメタクリル酸ゲル(以下,ゲル)を290,135MeV/uのMono peak Carbon beam(field size:6x6cm)で照射した.また,ゲルを頭蓋骨ファントムに封入し,頭蓋底腫瘍の放射線治療を模し,その線量分布解析を試行した.
照射したそれぞれのゲルをMRI(SIEMENS社製1.5Tesla)にて以下の条件で撮像した.撮像条件は,スピンエコー法,TR=4000msec, TE=15〜480msec,画像マトリックス128x128,撮像時室温は24±0.5℃であった.
ゲルの画像においてピクセル毎にT2値を算出した.R2(=1/T2)分布図に変換し,事前に他の線量計で水ファントム内で計測されている既知の深部線量データとR2分布図を比較し,吸収線量とR2の関係式(1次式)を求めた.
イオンチャンバーを使用し、メタクリル酸ゲルの水等価厚は1.04と算出された.
炭素線照射されたゲルから得られたMRI画像はR2分布図に変換されたのち、線量分布として表示することができた.R2と吸収線量は0〜10Gyにおいては比例関係にあった.(R2=0.9939).また,R2はLET〜380MeV/g/cm2において測定が可能であることが示唆された.
