Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ナトリウム過剰酸化物の充放電過程における構造変化に着目し、試料が含む積層欠陥量を精密に計測した。得られた結果を受入研究者が俯瞰的に検証することで、層状化合物の充放電過程における構造変化がファンデルワールス力に依存するのに対し、ナトリウム過剰酸化物やリチウム過剰酸化物はクーロン力に依存しており、充電状態で構造が安定化されることを見出した(B. Mortemard de Boisse, et al., Nature Communications, in press, (2019))。
