Outline of Annual Research Achievements

In some cases, the obtained materials showed less-ordered/dis-ordered porous structure with the amorphous pore walls and less surface area, due to the lack of intermolecular interaction between aliphatic chains of phosphonic acid precursors. In this year, we designed new phosphonic acid sources with aromatic rings, and could increase effective interaction to realize highly mesostructural ordering and crystalized walls. Especially, we considered the interaction between surfactants, phosphonic acids, and metal precursors. We used cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), oligomeric surfactants (C16EO10, C16EO20), and triblock copolymers (EO80PO30EO80, EO106PO70EO106, and EO20PO70EO20) as structure-directing agents. To remove the templates, as-prepared mesostructured samples were washed with solvents. After that, we carefully characterized the obtained mesoporous samples and we could find out the optimal synthetic conditions.
