Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
April-November 2019 Dr.Zardai continued work on his book manuscript; delivered a number of talks and presentations; led a reading group for Philosophy MA and PhD students at Keio University; delivered a series of unpaid invited lectures at the Tokyo Institute of Technology; attended a large number of professional events; applied for several jobs (so far unsuccessfully); organized a series of reading group meetings for philosophers in Tokyo with Dr. Akiko Frischhut. He also organized four other events: a workshop at Keio University (successful), a visit by Prof. Constantine Sandis from the UK (cancelled due to Prof. Sandis’ unexpected illness), a conference at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (cancelled due to changes in the funding criteria for events), and a poetry-philosophy event to commemorate Mary Midgley’s work (postponed due to COVID-19).
