Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度はコロナ禍のために、予定していたポーランド・カシュブ地方における現地調査は全て実行が不可能であったため、極めて限定的ではあるがオンラインでの調査に切り替えた。また、現地の文書館の協力を得て、20世紀初頭のカシュブ語の言語状況を示しうる複数の資料のスキャンを手に入れ、それらをワードに打ち込む作業、加えて分析を行った。具体的なものとして、当時作家として活躍していたアレクサンデル・マイコフスキによる未刊行の『カシュブ語文法』の手稿（1930年代）およびタイプ稿（1960年代）および『カシュブ語正書法』（1930年代）である。これらは当時の言語状況を表すと同時に、カシュブ語の標準化に関して影響力ある作家の視点を提示する社会言語学的にも重要な著作であることが分かった。またこの文献は、ドイツ人研究者フリードリヒ・ロレンツの影響を強く受けていることは専門家の間では知られていたが、それらを改めて分析した結果、19世紀半ばのフロリアン・ツェイノワの手による文法書の影響も一定程度見られることが明らかになった。現在は批判的なコメントを付けた『文法書』と『正書法』の刊行の準備をしている。また、19世紀末の北部方言を記録したゴットヘルフ・ブロニシュの稀覯本『カシュブ方言研究第2巻』のスキャンを手に入れ、それを現代綴りにしたワード資料を作成した。その他、外国人共同研究者を通じて、帝政ロシアおよびソ連のカシュブ語研究の文書館資料を補足的に収集した。具体的にはサムイル・ベルンシュテインの日記および未刊行資料で、それらの分析結果は第59回セルビアスラブ学協会の年次集会で、基調講演として発表した。

Reason

予定していた方言調査の実施はできなかったものの、海外協力者の尽力を経て、19世紀から20世紀の言語状況をうかがい知ることができる重要な未刊行資料や稀覯本のスキャンが予想以上に手に入り、当初予定していなかった、当該領域に本質的に新しい研究成果も見込めることになったため。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

コロナ禍の改善次第ではあるが、できる限り現地調査を行えるようにしたい。オンラインでの調査はなかなかうまくいかないものの、現地協力者と連携を密にして、生きた資料を得られるように努力する。また、この作業と並行して、19世紀から20世紀の言語状況を示しうる様々な文書館の資料の収集し、当初と異なる資料ではあるが、それらをもとに言語変化を明らかにすることを目指す。
