| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to develop a Japanese language thesis instruction program in collaboration with Japanese language instructors living abroad.
By collaborating with overseas instructors to develop useful teaching strategies and Japanese language teaching materials, the following three goals have been achieved. (1) Improve the teaching skills of overseas Japanese language instructors who lack training opportunities in Japanese language education. (2) Quality assurance of education for overseas learners of Japanese in countries where the Japanese language education environment is not well-developed. (3) Dissemination and shared use of the abundant Japanese language resources available in Japan to the rest of the world. We have developed an ICT educational environment for foreign students in Japan. They can receive instruction in writing Japanese papers. This research will contribute widely to the qualitative improvement of Japanese language education in Japan and abroad.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
海外日本語教育指導者との協働により，①有用な日本語教材や教授方略の協働開発・共同利用，②東南アジアなど教育環境が未整備な地域での日本語教育の質保証，③海外日本語指導者のスキル向上，④海外での日本語指導者の質的量的拡大，という結果が予想される。これは，国内外双方の日本語教育の質的向上と，日本語による国際レベルでの学術発展に大きく寄与するもので，その意義はとても大きい。こうして得られた研究成果は，日本語教育のみならず，21世紀型能力の「言語スキル」の育成にも貢献でき，日本人への国語教育にも広く応用できるものである。よって，本研究の教育への貢献度は大変高く，その社会的意義も極めて大きい。
