Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Clarifying the interaction between exercise and internal organs contributes to the improvement of performance or the maintenance of health. This study focused on intestinal dysfunction caused by various stresses such as changes in the outside environment and investigated the role of the gut microbiota in the deterioration of intestinal symptoms. There was no change in the classification of gut microbiota in the untrained group in animal studies. However, the gut microbiota showed changes in the training group. It was suggested that resistance training or endurance training utilizing a hypoxic exposure is less effective for muscle hypertrophy. However, the visceral fat weight was significantly decreased in the hypoxic group. In addition, in the intervention study for athletes, changes in the stool shape were shown due to training in a heat environment. These results suggested that it may be used as a basic material for athletes training in heat environments.
