| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research,I have worked on making the database for all kinds of activities concerning the life-improving activity,in order to examine the actual concondition and results of the life-improving activities in Japan,including
Okinawa prefecture,China,Taiwan,and South Korea.As for conducting the local survey at home and abroad,I could not reach the original research plan,because it was difficult to conduct the face-to-face research both at home and abroad due to the COVID-19 pandemic.However,I achieved the publication of the report of the results of the research (in 6 olumes),titled The Change of Life/The Improvement of Life/The Folklore Study of the Cosmos of life:From the Perspective of the Comparison East Asia centering on Japan,China and South Korea in which I attempted to deepen the research in the future.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
これまで主要な研究対象とされてこなかった第二次世界大戦後の日本における生活改善運動の実践と展開に関するデータベースを作成することができたことで、当該研究に取り組む研究者に基礎資料を提供することができるようになった。データベースを共有していくことで、当該研究の深化が図れるようになった。
また、日本国内のみを対象にした研究では生活改善諸活動と高度経済成長期との連続性に注目しがちであったが、東アジアを研究対象領域としたことで、グローバリゼーションの展開への受容や対抗という段階までの連続性を確認することができた。第二次世界大戦後の地球規模での平準化意識の形成という研究課題を提示することができた。
