| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
By analyzing examples of practices related to local health, welfare, and social education, We have characterized the new educational thought that is emerging in contemporary society as follows : (1) the possibility of the concept of the people as a fundamental category of education, (2) "life" as a fundamental value in popular thought, (3) the logic of practices that make "life" conscious, (4) reconstruction of the system as forgiveness and a shift in the concept of the world, and (5) Possibility of popular educational thought. Life" is a value constructed from various aspects of life, subsistence, and activity, and it is the basis for the systemic nature of popular educational thought.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
日常生活者としての民衆を教育学の基礎範疇として措定することにより、学習主体の概念を拡張しつつ、社会を創造する学習と教育の論理を導く可能性を示した。日常生活者にとっての根源的価値を生命・生存・活動の三相からなる「いのち」として剔出したことによって、現代の教育を批判的に検討する際に頻出する「いのち」という概念が、どのような教育実践と教育思想を生み出す可能性を有するのかを明らかにすることができ、また赦しの論理を仮説的に整理することにより、様々な価値が対立する現代社会における平和を志向する教育の論理を検討する手がかりを示すことができた。
