| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
As a scale of international education practices rapidly expanded for the sake of globalization, one of the challenges at schools in Japan is a lack of international education practitioners capable of designing, operating, and evaluating programs that are theoretically reasonable, feasible for practitioners, and meaningful for leaners. We critically examined various theories and conceptual frameworks relevant to intercultural learning and personal growth and created a set of modules as a professional training workshop for international education practitioners. We went through a process of designing, operating and getting feedback from participants every year in order to improve the quality and feasibility of the workshop as well as conducting survey to understand the real voices of international education practitioners. We will continue offering this workshop regularly and also publish a self-study guidebook which illustrates the learning process offered by the workshop.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究では、理論研究と現場での実践を往復しつつ、国際教育実践現場を担う人材育成に寄与するワークショップを開発した。このワークショップでは、異文化感受性の育成、すなわち、社会におけるダイバーシティ・インクルージョンを牽引できる人材の育成を、国際教育の究極の目的と捉えている。国際移動を伴うかどうかにかかわらず、「異文化体験から学ぶ」という現象を、理論的枠組みをもって整理し、現場の教育実践者にとっても理解しやすく、実践しやすい汎用性の高い形にまとめることができたこと、そして、教育実践者自身が継続的に異文化感受性を高める必要性の理解を促進できたことは、本研究の大きな社会的意義である。
