Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Applying the mathematics of the K-theory to materials, we have constructed a general framework of topological crystalline insulators and superconductors. We also have studied topological superconductors, discovering new topological superconductivity of higher spin electrons and revealing peculiar magnetic responses of Majorana excitations. Furthermore, we have proposed a comprehensive classification theory of non-Hermitian topological phases based on symmetry and energy gap structures intrinsic to non-Hermitian Hamiltonians.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
