Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to reveal the mechanism of the revelation effect, which is a criterion shift in recognition judgments. We focused on individual differences of the effect. The result showed that the revelation effect in the young age group was larger than that in the middle age group. Moreover, the absolute value of the degree of the revelation effect positively correlated to the metacognitive capacity of each individual. These suggest that there are individual differences in the occurrence of the revelation effect and its mechanism is related to metacognition.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
