Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Food Neophobia is defined as an unwillingness or refusal to eat, or the tendency to avoid new foods (Pliner & Hobden, 1992). In this study, I examined the relationship between Psychological distance and appearance in regard to food Neophobia. And Psychological distance and appearance of food revealed that affects the negative effects of the food Neo phobia.

本研究の理論的な貢献は,以下の2点である。1心理的距離概念を援用し,フード・ネオフォビア傾向による摂食拒否が起こりやすい状況とそうでない状況を 特定したこと2フード・ネオフォビア傾向の高低による摂食意図の差と食品の外見的特徴(知覚された新奇性)の関連について検証し,既存研究の位置付けを明らかにしたことである。
