Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2019年度において、(I) 光格子冷却原子系における(2+1)次元U(1)格子ゲージヒッグス理論の量子シミュレーションの研究、(II) 光格子冷却原子系おけるCreutzラダーモデル等における多体局在現象の探求、(III) トポロジカルサウレスポンプを次元縮小としてもつ2次元チャーン絶縁体における分純物効果、
について研究を同時に遂行した.
(I)の研究に関して、これまでの先行研究において主に、弱い相互作用が支配的なヒッグス相領域の数値計算を行っていたが今年度の研究では強い相互作用領域に適応可能な時間発展グッツウィラー変分法を用いた数値的解析を行い、冷却原子系を想定した電束の破れの振る舞いを調べた. これまでの先行研究に比べより広いパラメータ領域での電束の時間発展を調べた.
(II)の研究に関して、昨年、光格子冷却原子系にて実装を実現したCreutzラダーモデルをターゲットに研究を始めた. 特に、今年度はこの系おけるフラットバンド誘起の多体局在現象に焦点を絞り研究を行った. 厳密対角化法を用いたエネルギースペクトルの解析とダイナミクス数値計算を行うことにより、相互作用をもつCreutzラダーモデルの多体局在的傾向を定量的に評価した. フラットバンド起因で多体局在現象存在し、ダイナミクスにおいてエルゴード性の破れが現れることが明らかになった.
(III)の研究に関して、昨年度に引き続き所属研究室において進められているトポロジカルサウレスポンプの実験系に関連した理論研究を遂行した. 今年度はそのトポロジカルサウレスポンプの次元拡大版である2次元チャーン絶縁体をターゲットにそこに不純物を加えた時、チャーン絶縁体相がどのように変化するのかを調べ、不純物誘起のチャーン絶縁体相を発現を確認した.
(I),(II),(III)のそれぞれの研究の成果を査読付き論文として出版した.
