Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2018年4月1日から7月31日まで海外挑戦プログラムを利用してハワイ大学に研究滞在し、系外惑星の直接撮像に使われる補償光学装置SCExAOを用いた観測的研究を進めた。滞在中に、SCExAOに搭載される新たな撮像カメラVAMPIRESを使った観測的研究に携わる事になった。従来の直接撮像に使用されるカメラは赤外線のみを使用していたが;、VAMPIRESでは新たに可視光線での直接撮像が可能となった。この装置によって得られるメリットの一つに、惑星が形成される際に放出されるHα線を用いた直接撮像を行うことがある。つまり、従来の観測から得られていた惑星の存在と物理的な情報を得られるだけでなく、惑星が形成される現象そのものを検出することが可能となる。申請者はこのHα線に関するデータを取り出すための解析コード作成を主導し、得られた結果についてイギリスでの国際研究会(Exoplanets II)でポスター発表を行った。
また並行してLkHa 330というYSOにおける原始惑星系円盤の観測結果についてすばる望遠鏡のHiCIAOという撮像装置を用いたデータ解析・論文化を主導した。この天体の円盤は大きな溝やスパイラル構造が見られ、惑星形成が大きく期待される天体であることがわかり、その成果について2018年8月に論文が国際ジャーナル誌に掲載された(Uyama et al., 2018)。さらに、すばる望遠鏡によって発見された系外惑星Kap And bについての追観測を国際協力のもと行なっている。私は追観測から得られた位置情報から、データ解析、特にこの天体の軌道要素を調べる部分を主導しており、その結果が第三著者として 2018年12月に国際ジャーナル誌に掲載された(Currie, Brandt, Uyama et al., 2018)。
