Outline of Annual Research Achievements

[1] 種分化における生態要因の貢献度を定量化する理論研究
適応度地形理論に基づいた確率シミュレーションを行い、環境変化速度が速い状況や、より長期間の適応プロセスを経た集団間において、交雑個体の適応度が低下しやすいことを明らかにした。加えて、環境適応の過程において、適応度を大きく上昇させるような効果の大きい変異が後々の不和合性に関与していることも判明した。また、戻し交雑個体の適応度の差を正規化することで、内因的な遺伝的不和合と生態的分化が相対的にどれだけ生殖隔離に貢献してきたかを定量する指標を定式化した。この指標は、生態的種分化の程度を定量化しようと試みた先行研究(Rundle & Whitlock 2001)よりも正確に傾向を捉えることができることも確認できた。本研究は現在論文を投稿中である。

[2] 系統情報を考慮した種分化率・絶滅率の推定
系統的な制約のもとでその形質が進化してきた事実に着目し、祖先復元によって配列の進化確率を計算することで、より効率的な候補遺伝子領域の探索手法開発を行っている。本年度は確率シミュレーションとショウジョウバエ野生種に関する配列・食性データを用いた具体的な解析を行った。食性の分化によってどれだけ種分化が誘導されているかをHawaiian Drosophilaおよび Scaptomyza属を例として解析した結果、適応形質以外にも地理的な影響で種分化が進んでいることが多いことが判明した。地理関係および移動分散による移住率を考慮した進化の順序を精査する必要があるため、先行研究のソフトウェア(BioGeoBEARS; Matzke 2013)を用いた祖先復元解析も並行して行い、本手法との比較を行っている。今後は既存のソフトウェアとの検出力・計算速度比較を含む詳細な解析を進めて結果をとりまとめ、論文原稿の執筆を行う。
